The Admin Bar

After spending 15 years as a graphic designer and earning a business degree, I launched my agency, OGAL Web Design, in 2017. A year later, after finding the amazing community around WordPress, I co-found The Admin Bar, which has grown to become the #1 community for WordPress professionals. I'm a husband and proud father of three, and a new resident of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

This Week in TAB

Before you dive in, I just wanted to send a big thank you for everyone who added to the conversation in the group about “What is The Admin Bar“.  Seeing what you all had to say truly means a lot — and I'm so proud of our little online village 🙂

Now let's get you caught up on the world of web, both inside and outside of TAB…

Inside The Group ?

  • Grabbing full page screenshots
Alan asked how people grab full page screenshots of websites from their browser — I didn't realize how many options there were!
  • Are all the decision makers in the room?
Doug has come to the realization that he doesn't want to work with “partners” any more. This post highlights the importance of making sure all key decision makers are involved in the web build process.
  • Agency Analytics walkthrough
I put together a video walking through the power and simplicity of Agency Analytics for both viewing and reporting on all kinds of data for your websites. Includes access to a 50% off coupon.
  • Overburdened by client requests
Kris shared her frustration being overburdened by client requests. The group chimed in with lots of ways to offload some of mundane work so you can focus on the big stuff.
  • Um, you can't just do that…
Phil's client provided him with clearly plagiarized content for their website. Struggling with how to address it with the client, the group chimed in with some helpful advice.
  • Spying on Employees
Fábio's client is asking for help spying on his employees who are working remotely. Just a good reminder of why most of us are self-employed ?

In Other News ?

  • How to Document Your Processes; A Step-by-Step Guide
Our latest blog post covers how you can start creating and documenting your processes to help improve your workflow, become more efficient, and save time & money!
  • A timeless way to prospect for clients
A thread this week reminded me of a great conversation we had with Jim Galiano where he shared his strategy for reaching out to “cold” leads.‘Client acquisition strategies' will be the topic of discussion at our next Happy Hour call.
  • Oxy-Curious On-Demand
Since I got such great feedback about the Oxygen Builder webinar I did yesterday, we set it up for others to be able to view “on-demand”. If you missed out, then you can sign up now and watch it anytime!

Before You Go ?

Thanks to everyone who showed up for the Oxy-Curious webinar yesterday! It was a lot of fun to put this together and share everything I've learned with the group.

If you're interested in me doing more of these (on other topics), let me know. Maybe we can do this one a month?
