You Don’t Have to Leave WordPress to Work With AI

How InstaWP's MCP Finally Makes AI and WordPress Play Nice

About the event

It seems like AI is pushing people away from WordPress… But it doesn’t have to.

Let’s be honest about what’s happening right now: a lot of us are using AI constantly, and somewhere along the way it started nudging people away from WordPress. The tooling feels smoother with Astro, headless setups, or whatever is the new shiny stack of the week.

But most of us don’t actually want to leave WordPress. We’ve built our businesses on it. Our clients are on it. We just wished AI and WordPress worked better together.

Maybe they can?.

Vikas and the team at InstaWP have built an MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration that connects WordPress directly to the AI tools you’re already using, like Claude & ChatGPT.

In this session, Vikas is going to give us a live, real-time demonstration of what that actually looks like:

  • Content management: Edit and update content directly inside WordPress, driven from your AI tool of choice.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose the stuff that ruins your afternoon — white screens of death, slow sites, and hacked installs.
  • Site management: Handle backups, plugin updates, and routine maintenance through a conversation.
  • Bulk operations across many sites: Run tasks across your whole portfolio at once — like patch a vulnerable plugin across 50 client sites or audit your whole portfolio for X.

We’re also going to tackle the elephant in the room: security.

Most AI tools for WordPress hand the AI the keys to kingdom right out of the box. Free reign to execute code & direct file access on your live site is exactly why people recommend only using AI solutions on staging.

But InstaWP’s MCP is locked down by default. It’s AI that can only act through structured tools with smart guardrails in place. You don’t lose power, you hold onto it.

Vikas will walk through all of it — how the token system works, what the guardrails actually do, and what happens when you flip the switch.

Join us on July 16th for a live walkthrough with InstaWP founder Vikas, and stick around for Q&A.

If AI has had you wondering whether WordPress is still the right home for your work, come see what’s actually possible before you make that call.
