SignalTo is a platform that helps you find out if AI is mentioning your business when someone asks a relevant question.
At a time when most businesses are seeing organic, SEO-driven web traffic drop, SignalTo claims to offer a solution: see where you’re not being recommended, and take clear actions to remedy that.
It’s important to note that there’s very little consensus as to how to “steer” AI answers, since much like Google’s SERP, everyone’s guessing and hoping to find a helpful button in the black box.
SignalTo does offer some of its guesses, but it also offers something that’s a little more subjectively useful, which is visibility into how AI is answering questions that pertain to your business or website.
Who Made It?
Roo Wright is the founder and CEO of SignalTo.
According to the SignalTo about page and the brief conversation I had with him, Roo has spent more than 20 years in affiliate marketing and SEO helping businesses get found online.
“When we saw AI getting a business we cared about wrong, I recognised that being found was only part of the problem: the answers needed to be accurate too. I built SignalTo with my fellow founders to bring that SEO experience into AI answers, helping businesses show up accurately in ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and other AI systems.”

What Makes It Stand Out?
To me, the most remarkable feature is what SignalTo calls its “Signal Map.”

It’s a hex map of questions or search terms, all color coded based on how often your business is cited in the AI answers.
But where does SignalTo get this data from?
It polls ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews every month to see where you stand in the answers provided for the questions you’ve chosen.
In addition to showing you what percentage of citations in a given answer you own, it also provides an action plan for improving your results.

These actions are recommendations that aim to increase how often you’re cited in the answers for the tracked questions.
As I mentioned before, it’s difficult to provide concrete proof that these insights will have any guaranteed result, but sometimes it is nice to have somewhere to start. And SignalTo provides the tools to measure whether these changes actually work.
If the site you’re working with is using WordPress, SignalTo offers a dedicated plugin that allows SignalTo’s AI to connect to your site and make the recommended changes for you.
For other sites, recommended changes can be downloaded from the SignalTo console and need to be implemented manually.
Who Should Use It
If you’re selling SEO services and want to branch out into AEO/GEO, or if you operate a business and want to see how AI is answering questions where you should be showing up, SignalTo offers the tools to do that.
It also offers comprehensive client-facing reports, so if you want to show clients the results from using SignalTo without giving them dashboard access, it’s easy to do so.
Who Should Give It A Pass
If you don’t rely on SEO traffic for business, or already have a good handle on showing up in AI answers, SignalTo may not offer much extra value for you.
Another thing to note: the reports generated by SignalTo are written by AI, and it’s not subtle. If you prefer not to use AI-written communications with your clients, the reports may not be useful for you.
How To Get It
SignalTo is available at signalto.ai and starts at $99 per site with 15 questions tracked.
