About the event
I came into the world of building websites through WordPress — so I didn’t need to know a single line of code in order to get the job done. In fact, the first few years of my business, I could barely spell “CSS”, let alone write anything in it.
But that all that changed during the pandemic when I started to take interest in learning how to take my skills even further.
If you’ve ever looked anything up on YouTube related to CSS or HTML — then there’s a good chance you’ve already watched Kevin’s videos.
I’ve spent countless hours binging Kevin’s videos, even when I didn’t have the foggiest idea of what he was doing.
Eventually it all started to click, and ever since I started to understand more about the underlying code behind my builds (no matter the builder) the more I’ve been able to accomplish.
Is knowing CSS & HTML required to use WordPress? Of course not — but it sure does help!
But what does Kevin think of WordPress? I’ve only heard him mention it in passing.
Does he still think there any benefit to learning CSS & HTML if you rely on visual page builders that do all the heavy lifting?
And what’s the best path forward for someone wanting to dip their toes into the code for the first time?
I plan on asking him all that — and a whole lot more!
