After spending 15 years as a graphic designer and earning a business degree, I launched my agency, OGAL Web Design, in 2017. A year later, after finding the amazing community around WordPress, I co-found The Admin Bar, which has grown to become the #1 community for WordPress professionals. I'm a husband and proud father of three, and a new resident of the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Since SEOHive launched back in April of 2020 there has been a lot of questions about their white-label, productized SEO service.

We signed up on launch day, and have been chronicling our experience with the service in an ongoing blog post (read that here). After 6 months on their services (split between the On-Page and Link Building pathway), we’ve finally started on the last of their three pathways: The Content Pathway.

Of all the questions we’ve gotten about our experience, wanting to see examples and examine the quality of their copywriting skills has been at the top of the list.

Why there aren’t good examples of SEOHive’s copywriting

Since SEOHive is a white-label service, most people utilizing the platform aren’t as open as we are about giving away their little secrets. This means that SEOHive isn’t typically listed as the author on the articles they produce nor are any of their customers required to give them credit.

Having had a customer on the content pathway myself since May of 2020, I find myself in the same boat. I’ve been very happy with their ability to produce quality articles— but I’m not jumping at the chance to let my customer know I’m outsourcing the work and doubling the cost.

Nor do I want my friends in online communities to know which one of my customers they could go poach with a slightly lower price ?.

But when it comes to evaluating a service like SEOHive— this is a problem. Dropping $250/mo on a service without knowing what kind of quality you’re going to get in return is a tough pill to swallow.

If you feel like you’re in the same boat— then I have good news for you…

Since we, here at The Admin Bar, are now on SEOHive’s Content Pathway, they are producing articles for us to publish on our website.

We have the opportunity (and legal right) to claim our own authorship of these articles— but where’s the fun (and transparency!) in that?

So instead, we’ve made the decision to publish any articles provided as part of SEOHive’s services with SEOHive listed as the author.

Now you can have a read and make a judgement for yourself… Is SEOHive a good fit for your agency?

Our first article by SEOHive

Today (December 2nd, 2020) we published our first article produced by SEOHive as part of their Content Creation Pathway.

The article is titled “Prioritizing Web Safety And Security On Your WordPress Site“, which is one of two articles they are producing for us in the first month (I’ll be sure to come back and update this later with the next one).

If you want to check back in periodically on the content they’ve produced (and to help make this post a bit more evergreen) you can visit SEOHive’s author archive page here on our website. Each of the articles they produce will be listed here so you don’t have to sift through the rest of our blog feed (though you might want to ?)

What else do you want to know about SEOHive?

This is my first time chronicling my experiences with a vendor— especially to this extent. I’ve tried to do my best in showing everything from the viewpoint of a customer, but it’s possible I’ve left something out.

I’d love to know what questions you have about SEOHive so that I can help get those answers to you. Feel free to email me at [email protected] and let me know what’s on your mind.
