In this live event  I interview Link Moser who has been buying web agencies since 2013 to learn more about what makes an agency sellable (and what to avoid!).

Many of us found ourselves running an agency almost by accident. It starts off for fun, then you help a friend, and next thing you know — well, you’re an agency owner!

But that kind of “organic” business development often leads you to miss things that planning out a business strategy might catch — like an exit plan.

Even if you’re not nearing retirement, there are many reasons why you might decide to sell your agency… Taking your niche in a new direction, burnout, or even changes to your circumstances in everyday life that could push you into moving on.

No matter how your final bow as the owner of your agency, you’re not going to want to have to plan for it last minute.

By planning and developing your agency with an end in mind, you can put the systems and processes in place that will help make your agency more attractive to potential buyers and command a higher price tag.

In this interview Link shares his background and why he’s been purchasing agencies as part of his growth strategy, what things he’s looking for in an agency, and what things you can avoid.

We dig deep into the most important aspects of having a sellable agency, and what you can start thinking about today to plan for a more profitable exit..

I have no immediate plans of selling my agency, but this interview has caused me to pause and rethink how I have things setup now and why I might be making some of the crucial mistakes that could hurt me down the line.
